Erasmus Experience in Sevilla, Spain by Lipcsei
Why did you choose to go to Sevilla, Spain?
Because I love Mediterranean regions.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I was in Seville for 4 months. The flat was 350 EUR/month + internet, and other fees, like water... So it's quite expensive. I got 1500 EUR from the school, but it wasn't enough of course. The public transport is high quality, but expensive too.
What is the student lifestyle like in Sevilla?
More than great! Everybody are so friendly, and great people!
Would you recommend the city and the University of Sevilla to other students?
Of course! These 4 months changed my life. I can't tell how much I miss Seville!
What is the food like?
Octopus and "jamón" my favourite food. GREAT!
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Sevilla?
Yes.
How much does it cost to live in Sevilla?
350 euros/month the rental fee.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Yes, language courses are available.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Sevilla from your city?
By plane.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Sevilla?
On Facebook you have the group "We love Spain Seville", or Davilo Jimenez who has this party&trip organisation company.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Sevilla?
Whatever, just not McDonald's :)
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Real Alcazar! More than beautiful.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Sevilla in the future?
You have to go minimum 6 months, and even more! This trip will be the best experience ever in your life! Spanish people are great and fabulous! The cultural, architecture, the feeling... I want to go back!
