If there is a thing that I love a lot about travelling; it is without a doubt to discover secret jewellery hidden in some unknown corner of the city.

An enchanting city

I have been travelling almost everywhere in Europe, and Spain does not represent an exception. I reckon Spain to be an amazing place to visit, it offers so many different landscapes, but yet breath-taking monuments and a hectic life style. Barcelona is beautiful in its own way, where Murcia has a completely different kind of appeal; Madrid attracts for something that Valencia doesn't and so on and so forth.

However, of all the places I have been to, I must admit that Seville have had a particular and enchanting effect on me. In fact, I now fight shy of astonishing monuments like the Sagrada Familia or Plaza de España because of how they affect my mood.

Confused?

No worries, I will straight away explain myself better.

When I was visiting Seville I had a blast. The group I was traveling with was absolutely an amazing company, the places we were visiting were shockingly outstanding and we had the chance to see a flamenco show for real. Like a real one, for real. I know I am repeating myself. Sorry! Truth is that I am still excited as if I was now back in time, back in Seville where I cried. Yes, I did cried.

Don't cry for me Seville. It is actually the other way around, because I cried for you Seville. I cried because of what I had in front of my eyes; something spectacular, something out of the ordinary...

Let's rewind for a second. We were visiting a park and we were supposed to go and visit Plaza de España, which I expected to be an absolutely normal square with maybe some nature here and there, but expectations were not high at all. I really don’t know why, as I do believe Spain is an amazing with all monuments place to visit, or maybe I just didn’t expect to find what I found.

Whether you have been already or you haven’t been yet to Plaza de España, I strongly suggest you to do so.

I arrived at about 10 pm on an April’s sunny day and I asked to myself what that building was as I was in front of a normal, like absolutely normal huge building. There were two little arches to go inside the building, I was not curious at all, as the outside wasn’t that appealing to me. However, when you say, don’t judge a book by its cover, well you are absolutely right.

Once I have entered the building an entirely new, shocking world appeared to my eyes.

And I cried... Yes, I cried. Too many amazing things all in once... I couldn’t cope with my feelings and so I let them go. No shame, no pain. There was kind of a little Venice, with a canal and some gondolas. There were many little bridges to cross the canal. On the other side of the canal, there was nature. A park with thousands of tourists... In a semi-circle square, there were amazing, historical and monumental buildings, each of them with its own style and its own story. The square is very picturesque and traditional. There is a space with some benches and mosaics at the back. The mosaics do fill the entire wall of a corner of the square. We did take lots of pictures and we did enjoy the sun and the crowd. People were all quite excited and this post definitely proof how much of an impact visit Plaza de España had on me.

I really hope Plaza de España will have the same effect on you the same way it did have on me. I will remember that place, without a doubt, forever and ever. Furthermore, I will also remember the rest of my day around the city, visiting, chilling and eating tapas. We also (I use 'we' as we were a group) went to assist to a Flamenco show (absolutely worth it and traditional) and finally we went to a club at night to enjoy Spanish night life's style, a must to do.
