The Expo 1992 was held in Seville, in the area known as Isla de la Cartuja in the northeast of the city. It is separated from the historical center by the river Guadalquivir. It was the event that enhanced the development of the city because it is not far from it and left art buildings. There is a before and a after thank to the EXPO in Seville!
It was coinciding with the Olympic Games in Barcelona, suggesting the importance of Spain in this year.
