This park was built and opened to the public on October 12, 1993, and takes up 47 hectares of the northern area of the Cartuja Island.

It's a park where there is always something to do, it's filled with green spaces, where you can breathe in the fresh air and enjoy nature.

You can get away from the reality of the urban city centre and surround yourself with nature as you walk, play or sit down and read a good book.

It is also the ideal place to meet friends, play sports or just chat. It is very common to see people doing sport alone and running within the park.

It is the perfect environment, surrounded by trees and birds where you can let your thoughts wander, it's also a place to look for inspiration, since it is common to see people painting or writing there.

Of course, there are also areas for children, as in any park.

And there are also areas where you can take your dog for a walk or ride a bike.

In addition to this, cultural and sports activity programs are organized there every year.

Various performances also take place in the park, such as theatre or flamenco shows.

In addition to the green areas, there are also several lakes, where you can sail a boat or feed the ducklings.

The park also has a plant nursery, where in addition to beautiful and rare plants, you can find surplus materials from Expo 92.

Not only can you see birds lying on the lawn; it is also common to see rabbits and even hedgehogs.

For children it is fun to also organize their birthday parties within the park itself, as young people can do water skiing on the lake.

Throughout the park you can find several kiosks where you can buy a drink to refresh yourself or some snacks to nibble on.

As in the park of Mª Luisa, you can also rent bicycle strollers, which are 4-wheel bikes guided by a steering wheel and with a lever as a brake, which can fit between 2 and 6 people, if two of them are small children.

As a curiosity you may like to know that more than 100 different species of birds have their houses in Alamillo Park.
