Dormitory of The University of Seoul

Here I present which was my home for my stay in Seoul. The University of Seoul have a residence available for international students, which is within the campus, you can see the entrance in the picture, after climbing these stairs.

I am going to give some information for future students of this university who want to know more about it, but you should also ask if they have open the new residence that was under construction when I was there. From the residence to the Faculty of Business there are only about 200 meters, so going to class takes very short time, and if you have hours with no class, you can return with no problem.

The residence is separated for men and women. To enter the area of women you will need a card that only women have, the access to this area is totally banned for men, and is grounds for expulsion from the residence access to this area. So I can talk about the area of men and the common area. There are cameras in every corner of the residence, which are controlled by a security guard 24 hours.

You will need to enter a card that will have a lathe, there are 7 floors, one elevator, all rooms are doubles (no singles), in the common area you can find a supermarket, Family Mart, which is open almost 24 hours, next to a lounge with a TV where you can watch sports. Also is avariable an ATM inside. There is also a room with computers with internet connection, and a study area. It has a gym open 24 hours for all residents. A laundry with washers and dryers, you can use 24 hours for use it you will have to use a coin of 500 wons (about 30 cents of €). All floors have 2 bathrooms with 3 showers, 6 wc each, one important fact is that some toilets are automatic.

The price of the residence for 4 months is about €320 all included. All rooms have internet via cable, and have not kitchen or refrigerator, but you have air conditioning and central heating.
