Experience in São Paulo, Brazil, by Luiz
What is it like to live in São Paulo? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
I think São Paulo is an amazing city to visit. As a visitor you can enjoy very good restaurants, clubs, museums, and it's also 1h-2h hours only from nice beaches of São Paulo shore. For living is a different scenario. The traffic is huge. The public transportation doesn't support all areas. The living cost (for a brazilian salary) is too expensive.
I hope this help.
What is the student lifestyle like in São Paulo?
We have good universities. The public ones are the best. The students must live near the university because the public transportation doesn't support all areas.
How much does it cost to live in São Paulo?
The living cost, considering the brazilian salary, is very expensive, mainly in the most valuable districts.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in São Paulo? Is there any advice you can give?
Unfortunately, I cannot answer that because I don't know.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
São Paulo is very famous for it's restaurants with huge variety of dishes, as we have all type of specialties (italian, asian, portugueses, etc. )
The brazilian food is divided with north, center and the south part of the country, each one with it's own particular flavor.
