I want to find a house NOW!

Unique and fantastic

It's not easy to describe an Erasmus experience.

When I think about mine, I still feel a lot of emotions and sensations I felt more than 1 year ago.

I met and knew people from all over the world, I became so close to my house mates, who I didn't know before the experience. I shared joy, happiness, parties, lots of crazy and funny moments but also probems and difficulties with them. Actually, I can say that they became my second family, or the family I choose.

I also met some spanish guys, who were part of the ESN team, now called SCQ, and they were amazing and always willing too. They also went on Erasmus before I did, and also because of that, they knew all the difficulties I could pass through and they have always been there to help me not only with language or bureucratic problems, but, especially, when I needed advice, support and a shoulder to cry on.

They also organized lots of beautiful travels in Spain, but also in Portugal; some sports activities, which were perfect for Erasmus students, because you could join them also for just one semester; and last but not least, parties, especially theme parties.

Santiago is a small city, and to be honest I loved it especially for this reason, because you can reach almost every part of the city just walking. In this way, you can discover every single corner of the city, its beauty and when you go out, you can also plan it last minute, because you don't have to depend on public transports or taxis.

There are a lot of students and a lots of pubs and discos, especially in the old part of the town.

I also love Spanish food, especially "tortilla", which you can taste at "Tita", and "pulpo a la gallega", which I suggest to buy at the daily market.

The only negative point of my erasmus was the weather. Actually, it rained almost every day from January to May. But, even so, I loved and still love this city.
