Because it is by the sea and very beautiful.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

5 months, I received 400 euro per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Santander?

Many many parties, almost every day there is an interesting event. When you want to go party anytime, you have a good chance to have a lot of fun! If you don't want to party, you can have great experiences with gastronomy, attend free dance lessons, language courses etc.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Santander to other students?

The teachers in the University of Cantabria (faculty of education) are very nice and there's a lot of events, trips to spanish cities.

What is the food like?

Amazing!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Santander?

I had an accommodation when I arrived, however I was not satisfied there so I looked for something else and it was quite difficult as there are many agencies that require high cost for the accommodation.

How much does it cost to live in Santander?

180-350 euro/month plus energies.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

There are various language courses. Spanish people talk quite fast in here, but it is not so difficult to understand them.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Santander from your city?

By plane either to Santander (more expensive) or to Bilbao and then by bus to Santander.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Santander?

La cala, Plaza Canadio.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Santander?

Canadio, Piquio, Casa Ajero, Masamadre, Taj Mahal (indian).

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Picos de Europa.
