Why did you choose to go to Santander, Spain?

I didn't choose Santander, but I love this city. It is very beautiful, the weather is nice, Sardinero beach is wonderful and there are good restaurants to eat tapas.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

The scholarship lasts for 3 months and I received nothing, I paid for everything myself.

What is the student lifestyle like in Santander?

You start classes very late, for example at 1pm or 5pm and you finish at 9pm.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Santander to other students?

Yes, the city is very good but meeting other people wasn't as good, because Spanish people are not as open-minded, therefore they don't have the need to meet foreigners, they don't care about it. So the city is nice but not its people.

What is the food like?

I ate at home so I cooked whatever I wanted, but in restaurants it is tapas and traditional dishes. At the supermarket you find the same products as in France.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Santander?

No.

How much does it cost to live in Santander?

I spent €250 in accommodation, €100 in food and €100-€150 in activities, parties... So approximately between €450-500 per month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I studied at Cesine Business School and yes, I had language courses and all of my lessons were in English because I was in a special class.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Santander from your city?

I live in Montpellier, France, so the easiest way to get to Santander is by car.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Santander?

There are some nightclubs you can go to, such as Kudeta and Rokambole.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Santander in the future?

Speak with other students and learn Spanish, because if you don't speak Spanish you have less chances of meeting Spanish people.
