Why did you choose to go to Salerno, Italy?

I chose Salerno because of the language similarities. I had no idea it was so awesome here.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

6 months, 700 euros/month. The money I get are from my home university.

What is the student lifestyle like in Salerno?

Awesome! A lot of activities organized by the student clubs and the nature is amazing over here.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Salerno to other students?

Definitely. And I say it after only a month and a half spent here.

What is the food like?

It's good, a lot of pasta, of course and pizza. I can't stop eating pasta :))

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Salerno?

A bit. But I got helped from AEGEE (student association) and in 3 days I found a good flat. Tough, before arriving I was searching for one month.

How much does it cost to live in Salerno?

260 euros a room in centre, around 50 gas, water, electricity, around 200 euros food, 27 euros monthly pass for university bus, all per month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The courses depends on the area. There are some Italian courses and very good ones.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Salerno from your city?

From Iasi to Salerno: I took a flight to Napoli with 80 euros, bus from Napoli to Salerno for 4, 5 euros.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Salerno?

Lungomare and via Principati there are many bars, clubs, etc.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Salerno?

I don't eat out.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Castels, museums.

Just come here, it's amazing!
