What is it like to live in Salamanca? Would you recommend it?

I do recomment Salamanca as a place to live, especially if you're a student, it's a city made for young people whose mere essence is geared toward them.

What's the student life like in Salamanca?

Couldn't be better! There are students from all over Spain and from all over the world, and there are also lots of Erasmus!

How much does it cost to live in Salamanca?

Rent can be a bit expensive, that's for sure, but for the most part they're pretty affordable, it isn't an expensive city, and the city gets even cheaper when it's time to go out and party.

Was it difficult to find housing in Salamanca? What advice would yo give?

It's really simple finding accommodation because there's a large amount of flats to rent and furthermore the Erasmus are always coming and going therefore leaving many rooms free.

What's the local food like? What are your favorite dishes?

The good is good, the Hornazo is typical from here, but in general the food is very similar to the one from the North of Spain, that's to say it's very rich and savory.

What would you recommend visiting in Salamanca?

I recommend visiting the viewpoints at night and take a walk along the bike path beside the river because seeing the cathedral reflected in the river at night is amazing!

What are your favorite restaurants in Salamanca?

The Superbestias is very cheap and abundant, as is El Rufos or El Chidos, which is a Mexican place in the main square.

Where are the best places to go party in Salamanca?

It's difficult to list places, but I'm sure that upon arrival people will immediately find a place where they really like the ambiance.

Would you have any advice for future students going to Salamanca?

Enjoy the years you spend there because they won't last forever.
