How was it living in the town Saint Etienne? Would you recommend it? How’s the town?
The town is not that pretty, but there are a lot of shops in the centre so it’s not bad! Either way it’s a student town and comes alive at night.
How is the student atmosphere in Saint Etienne?
Very good! Lots of students, lots of evening activities and lots of bars (Rue des Martyrs).
What’s the cost of living in Saint Etienne?
Very reasonable for accommodation and for transport.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Saint Etienne? Do you have any advice?
No, it’s not difficult, personally the site Le Bon Coin was very helpful.
How is the food in this town? What are you favourite dishes?
The food is quite basic, but I recommend Stromboli Pizzeria (Place Jean Jaures) which is very good.
Which places would you recommend seeing in Saint Etienne?
I’ve got to say I haven’t visited much.

Which places would you recommend for going out in Saint Etienne?
Tribecca, if you want to go with your class mates, it’s small but very pleasant.
If not 1810, but it’s outside of Saint Etienne, you have to get there by shuttle.
What advice would you give to future Erasmus students going to Saint Etienne?
Rue des Martyrs every Thursday.
