Why did you choose to go to Rovaniemi, Finland?

I wanted to go to an uncommon place and Rovaniemi was perfect for that. It is a real experience, because Lapland is very different to what we are used to.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I had a scholarship for 10 months and it was around 500 euros if I remember correctly. It was enough to "survive" but you need more if you want to do some extras.

What is the student lifestyle like in Rovaniemi?

Most of the parties take place in Kuntotie (the area where most of the students live), and there are a few nice clubs in the city center.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Rovaniemi to other students?

Of course. It is really great! It was the best time of my life. The architecture of the city is not so nice, but the landscape is simply amazing and breathtaking. The weather can be a bit hard sometimes but you get used to it and it's worth it. Plus during winter, northern lights can be seen, which is simply amazing.
