What is it like to live in Rotterdam? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Its a very diverse and multicultural city with ethnicities from all over the world. The city is very vibrant with plenty of things to do regardless of taste.

What is the student lifestyle like in Rotterdam?

Busy, a lot of activities, there are international fraternities, rugby clubs soccer clubs basketball you name it.

How much does it cost to live in Rotterdam?

Depends on where u are, if you look around (understanding dutch that is) you can manage on 600 euros a month. But if you have no clue about it you will need at least 800 euros a month

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Rotterdam? Is there any advice you can give?

Again depending on the area, erasmus campus offers dorms against a hefty pricetag. But there are also studentdorms in the city for around 380 euros

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Amazing, there is food available from all corners of the globe.

Vapiano and Eazie are my 2 favorite restaurants for about 10 euros.

What places would you recommend visiting in Rotterdam?

What advice would you give future students headed to Rotterdam?

Start looking for accommodations at least year in advance preferably with someone who speaks dutch.

Consult dutch dorms websites and make a list of your monthly expenses. Everytime you go grocery shopping bring the folder to see whats discounted
