What is it like to live in Róterdam? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It is definitely lovely! Everthing is reachable really quick and easy. It is a really international city, the people are willing to speak English if they see you’re not from the Netherlands.

Also beautiful harbour and old building are a great thin to see, but next to that the new architectual buildings are a real go-see!

What is the student lifestyle like in Róterdam?

Couldn’t be better! You can see a lot of young people everyday in the city. Cheap supermarkets and also very international!

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Róterdam? Is there any advice you can give?

Most of the time, a lot of student accommodations or shared flats are looking for a roommate. It is also possible for a student to join a student association, via these kind of groups you can make friends really easily!

What places would you recommend visiting in Róterdam?

Blaak, you can find incredible buildings here and also the ‘Markthal’ building, qhich has a hall full of food corners, etc. The harbour is also a great place to see and of course ziplining from the Euromast hotel and restaurant!

Is it good to eat out in Róterdam? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Spanish or Italian restaurants! You can eat the best tapas at La Cubanita, you can eat for a certain price unlimited and the food is absolutely amazing. There are also a lot of amazing Italian restaurants, such as Jamie’s Italian, Happy Italy Vapiano, etc.

Is the nightlife good in Róterdam? Where is good to go?

There are so many good clubs in Rotterdam. Such as Café de Beurs, Villa Thalia, Nora and Annabel. If you are looking for something more typical Dutch, you definitely have to go to De vrienden van or De Skihut. And if you are looking for something more German, Biergarten is an amazing idea!
