A lost dream!
I still remember all the good news i heard about Rome, big beautiful charming and welcoming, a capital of civilisation full of ancient roman history, hearing all that made me very excited to travel and be there, so the story goes back to the age of 15, i still had that inner child inside me thinking that everything is supposed to be as i plan, i woke up in the morning and i found out that it is a summer holiday, i sat in the kitchen waiting my mother to make me breakfast, i was thinking on how will i spend my holiday, suddenly the idea of traveling to Rome came to mind, then i thought i should win and live my dream, so i decided to ask my mother if we could travel to Rome together this summer, not finishing my question my mother smiled at me and said, look dear son, We Algerian are not allowed to travel to Rome or europe just with our passport, i did not get what she meant cause i never heard of such thing before, i asked her then why in the Tv they show people traveling the world and sharing their experiences, how did i do it then? she tried to teach me that there are rules to follow and there is a visa and..., i could not absorb all these information, i was really pissed off, cause my first dream in life could not be fulfilled, however deep inside me i had a feeling that it is not over, as long as Rome exists in this planet i am meant to visit this Beautiful place one day.
now after 8 years from this sad story i had the chance to visit Rome and see the Colosseum evoke, have a real pizza and take some beautiful pictures.
This small story was so inspiring to many friends and family members, so they decided to encourage me, either by sending their support messages or thinking of sponsoring my future trips.

what are my favorite places in rome :

At the moment so much construction is going around all the momument and historie places in Rome that I would Wait a couple of years to visit Rome again in order to get a better experince.

Colosseum

Colosseum  was a fabulous Place,Bigger than I imagined it would be.
I’d advise getting a skip the line ticket, especially in summer. Lots of stairs, but there is a lift if needed. You need to be forceful to get near the edges for the best photos. To be able to stand where the battles used to take place will be one of the best experiences in your life, You get to go into bowels of the place to see the locations of the elevators and trap doors and where the animals were kept. You get to see the small river that actually flows under the Colosseum. You also get to go to the second level of the structure to look down on the Colosseum when it’s empty. It’s quite a different sight than when the building is crawling with tourists during the day! Despite the hassle of dealing with CoopCulture’s booking processthis is a must-do tour in Rome.

Trevi Fountain

I was very lucky because i had the chance to see the fountain at the evening, when not so many people were there and the lights on the foutain make it more impressive. I was like "woooow" when I saw how many people were there during the day i really advice you to either visit the place early in the morning or wait until late in the night.
The arhitecture is very impressive, like all attraction in Rome.
Always had this vision of the Trevi Fountain being small. I was so wrong! This fountain is huge; it’s majestic; it’s breathtaking.

This is a must stop when in Rome. Make sure you have a few euros to throw into the fountain. I was told one means you’ll come back to Rome and two means you’ll find love in Rome. Make sure to throw it over your right should using your left hand! And it’s for a good cause! Some are used for the upkeep of the fountain and the others are donated to charity!
It it a must see when coming in Rome and don't forget to throw a coin in the fountain.

Walking on Rome :
"You get the experience of walking Rome, when you use only your foots ." And yet the walking all the long distances will make you feel that you are in the Roman age. To give you an idea, I saw at least the following on each day. Day 1: Villa Borghese park , Piazza del Popolo and Northern Gate, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Colosseo (from outside, on a bridge with a nice photo op), Quirinale (from outside), Pantheon, Piazza Venezia, National Monument to Victor Emmanuel II (from outside), Piazza Navona. Day 2: Theater of Marcellus, Jewish quarter, Aventine hill (including orange tree park overlook and Keyhole), Stop for gelato and cannoli and cappuccino, Circus Maximus, Bocca Della Verita, San Pietro in Vincoli church (including Moses sculpture and holy relic chain), Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, Santa Maria Della Vittoria Church. At each place i stoped to take record video,  explore/take photos.
