Hello everybody! I hope that each and every one of you is well.

Today I started to tour more of the centre of Rimini. Since I just told you about the Malatestiano Temple a moment ago, today I'm going to mention another place that also dates back to the same period in time, I'm referring to the Sigismondo Castle.

Here is the main façade of the castle which is closed at the moment:

The relationship between these two locations is that they were both constructed in part by the House of Malatesta, a family who were the rulers of this area of Rimini for many years. The Sigismondo Castle is actually under maintenance at the moment and that's why it isn't possible to enter inside it.

Previously, they hosted cultural activities inside the facilities, as well as it being a location for the street markets that happen in Rimini every Wednesday and Friday in the mornings. However, the location of the market has now changed, the area you can find it in now is the Tre Martiri Square and the covered market right in the centre.

Anyway, I'm telling you that the castle is only a step away from the main square in Rimini, which is the Cavour Square. You can take advantage and make a trip around to get to know its façade dating back to the 15th century.

Its surroundings are still undergoing maintenance, although you can find some parking lots and small restaurants around it. .

I hope you liked this little review and that you are encouraged to explore this interesting location in Rimini. It is so close to the university that it is actually a sin not to come and visit.

As always, a big thank you for reading each one of these articles - I hope that you have an amazing day and I'll see you in the next one! Until next time, keep enjoying your days in Rimini!
