Experience in Reykjavík, Iceland, by Tijana
What is it like to live in Reykjavík? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
The city is very nice and many cultural things going on every week: a lot of concerts, and other music events, gatherings, gags and so on. However the public transport is not the best and if you live in the suburbs it might take you long time to get around. However, if you have bike it is much easier.

International students have weekly gatherings and the student life is wonderful. At the university there are many happenings and gym.
How much does it cost to live in Reykjavík?
A lot.

Depends on how much you can pay. International students can find nice accommodation in guest houses that are everywhere (mostly near the main city center).

Food is very good. However, I encourage everybody to try some national dishes that might look (svið - lamb head), smell (fermented shark) and even taste (shark again) disgusting, but it is life time happening.

No place in particular, Reykjavik is unique in it´s own way.
