Why did you choose to go to Reykjavík, Iceland?

I have always wanted to go there, to the whole Iceland. Amazing city, beautiful country.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

More or less for 5 month. A little more than 500 Euro per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Reykjavík?

Without any problems if you have enough money /not a lot, just enough/. Rich cultural life, a lot of opportunities to travel or doing crazy things. If you are living in the centre of Reykjavik, everything is close.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Reykjavík to other students?

For sure.

What is the food like?

I haven't tried so much of Icelandic food so far.. But I do not like rotten shark, that's for sure.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I did not try to learn Icelandic but there are lot of courses in the universities.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Reykjavík from your city?

To fly there.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Reykjavík?

It doesn't really matter in the centre of the city. You can choose from a variety of clubs and pubs.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

A lot of types of museums, zoo, cinemas..

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Reykjavík in the future?

Do not miss to try Icelandic hot pots!
