Why did you choose to go to Reykjavík, Iceland?

I think Iceland is pretty interesting. Lots of natural phenomena and viking culture. What else do you need?

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I receive 1200 euros.

What is the student lifestyle like in Reykjavík?

As I am doing an internship I am not exactly experiencing the student life properly. But I have been in couple of parties and it seems pretty cool. Moreover, even if you are not a student Reykjavik party culture is really deep inside Islanders, so I guarantee lots of fun.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Reykjavík to other students?

I can only answer for the city and the University sports facilities. And my answer to both is definitely yes.

What is the food like?

It's pretty healthy in general and very tasty. They have lots of vegetarian options as well, which I am really happy about. But if you are a meat lover, this could definitely be also your place.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Reykjavík?

No.

I would say around 700-800 euros monthly with everything included.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Reykjavík from your city?

The best way is to fly from England/France first to Iceland.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Reykjavík?

Harlem if you are up for dancing. Lebowski if you are an 80's fan. Kex or Bunk if you are up for a beer, relaxing time and meeting up with nice people.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Reykjavík?

Gló is the place.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Pretty good art and history museums.
