Culture Festival in Reykjavik

On Saturday the culture festival took place in Reykjavik. On that day all museums were gratis so I took it upon myself to visit the national museum. Alongside it the festival offers numerous attractions beyond count, for example in my own street a waterslide was built up (yes, it is short trousers weather for the Icelanders at just 15 degrees Celsius! My landlady actually said she felt rather hot ^^), the Reykjavik marathon was run, a small viking-village was built and mini-golf. In addition our landlord and landlady held an open day (an open door day) so that we got to try many Icelandic specialities. At the same time many stages were constructed where you could find and listen to music to your own taste. I saw so many Icelanders that day that I doubt I will get to see as many in the months to come; )

I visited these attractions with my roommates and two other French persons, which leads me to conclude that in the months to come I will be able to practice and improve my french alongside my English!

Tomorrow is the first day of university and I'm feeling excited about meeting more new people alongside my roommates and from Wednesday I'm leaving on a 5 day excursion, but where to I still don't know;)
