What is it like to live in Reggio Emilia? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Reggio is a beautiful city, I would recommend for sure to have an erasmus experiencbe in it.
The city is very peaceful and quite.
How much does it cost to live in Reggio Emilia?
It is about 250/300€ per month of rent.
Then it costs more or less 400€ to survive.
It us a quite expensive city...
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Reggio Emilia? Is there any advice you can give?
It is not that easy to find a good accomodation in Reggio.
There are 3 dorm in the center but they are quite expensive.
The best option is to look for a shared flat near the university
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
You really have to try our food! We have one of the best cuisine in the world.
Typical food are
-Cappelletti in brodo
-Tortelli
-Lasagne
-cotechino
-zampone
-passatelli in brodo
And tere are many more ( I am not going to translatr these food, you have definitly to try them )
What places would you recommend visiting in Reggio Emilia?
The city center is beautiful.
You should also visit the Highpeed Railway Station designed by arch.Calatrava, the Maramotti's foundation, see the Panizzi's library.
Obviously there are many more place to see.
Is it good to eat out in Reggio Emilia? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
As we have some of the best food in the world I would totally recommend to eat out.
It is quite expensive but you really have to try it.
In the city center my favourite spots are
1) La Piola, 70-years-old pizza point.
It is really good
2) Condor Restaurant
3) Bistrot Canossa ( typic emilian food )
Is the nightlife good in Reggio Emilia? Where is good to go?
We have an important club that has two different location depending on the season.
In winter is the Sali & Tabacchi
In summer is the Via delle Spezie
