It is not expensive compared to other Italian cities. Of course it depends all from your lifestyle.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Reggio Emilia? Is there any advice you can give?

I think you will not have troubles in finding and accomodation. If you would like to move in Reggio Emilia to study, the best way is to check inside the university. Generally there you can find lots of rooms ad.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is good. Like everywhere in Italy you will not have problems to eat.

Some specialities are:

Tortelli, Lasagne, cappelletti

What places would you recommend visiting in Reggio Emilia?

I enjoy to walk in the center city. There you can find really nice shops and bar. There are always lot of young people around.

Is it good to eat out in Reggio Emilia? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Maybe if you move by car out from the city center is likely to find more traditional restaurants. In the foothill areas you should be able to find good restaurants and wine cellars.

Is the nightlife good in Reggio Emilia? Where is good to go?

Yes, it is but is better to move by car maybe with some local people.

If the weather is good you can have a drink in center city.

What advice would you give future students heading to Reggio Emilia?

You will enjoy Reggio Emilia. People there is hospitable and warm. As soon as you will meet some students from Reggio Emilia they can take you around the best restaurants and pubs/disco of the city. For a short term stay is better a bigger city (es Bologna or Roma) but for working or long term stay (like two years), Reggio Emilia is a good option.
