What is it like to live in Pristina? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Prishtina (Capital of Kosovo) is quite a small city with a lot of spirit. Everyone in Prishtina is young and looking to have fun.

What is the student lifestyle like in Pristina?

Lots of Partying! Going out in Prishtina is insanely cheap so you can go crazy with just 10 euros in your pocket. People are friendly and open to meet new friends. They are also willing to show you around places.

How much does it cost to live in Pristina?

Very affordable! A place, 25-45 m2, would cost 200 - 400 euros...

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Pristina? Is there any advice you can give?

There are a few agencies but, things there work the best with word-of-mouth. So your best bet is if you have an acquaintance in the city.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food in exquisite. Albanian food is absolutely delicious but, you will find that people are very good with preparing mediterranean dishes as well. Kosovo is the no.1 place if you are a fan of meat. Everything is organic, and prepared perfectly due to the long tradition.

What places would you recommend visiting in Pristina?

Places in the center are the best and if you're looking for some sightseeing and more unique experiences then you can visit the other cities of Kosovo : Prizren, Gjakova etc. (you shouldn't look at it just as Prishtina but rather as Kosovo as a whole, because the entire country has a mere 2 million residents).

Is it good to eat out in Pristina? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Very good and very affordable! Here are some good restaurants:
"Dardha", "Basilico", "Country House", "Tiffany", "Fresco", "Vila Belvedere", "Rings" etc.

Is the nightlife good in Pristina? Where is good to go?

Very good because of all the young people! Nightclubs like "Rooftop 13", "Zone" and "Duplex" are very popular and then you also have bars/cafes like "Dit e Nat", "Old School", "Si n'Bahqe" etc.

What advice would you give future students heading to Pristina?

The city may not be exactly beautiful but, you will never find so much spirit and young energy like that.
