The fresh taste of paella in Mauritius
Once in a while, I will harass my mom to take me to this local village called Trou d'eau douce. It is found on the far eastern side of the island. It is known for its quiet beaches, longed with multiple fishing boats, its access to a well-known touristic small island, l'ile aux cerfs, and for the local story of a small lake whose water is pure during the day and salty at night. It's the place to be if you ever wish for a peaceful evening with a gentle sea breeze. It's also where you can enjoy the ruins of anancient limestones mill.

There, you can also find a range of local restaurants offering food at a great price and you can buy som freshly fished seafoods from fishermen. One restaurant, known as Tino, offers the most delightful meals ever. Their menu is mainly based of seafood; seafood fried noodles, seafood fried rice, grilled fish. They also have special kids meals and grilled chicken. I, however, give my hats-off to their paella.
My tastebuds were alarmed with how delicious it was. It was full with fresh seafood, cooked with the perfect amount of spice. I was seated on the balcony, in a warm summer sun, where I could watched the waves of the sea come and go. The view was absolutely gorgeous, with the boats, the huge hotel on the side of the other bay and the green islands in the not so far horizon. It was the best way to enjoy the best meal, making it an amazing experience.
