Why you should travel to Peru?

¡Hi everybody! Today that I feel with all the motivations to invite you to visit one of the most fantastic and authentic countries in the world, now that I am very far for my country I can see magically and understand that my country is very lucky to have many things to see, many places to visit a rich variety with a high culture and not only the Incas culture cause Peru have a huge line of history thanks to the habitants and their mixture of cultures that have arrived in the last years.

Imagine one country where you can find culture, gastronomy, variety, mountains, desserts, jungle, history, mysterious places, nice people and amazing traditional music, well this place exits and its name is Peru! Where you can live the legend! Where you cand discover yourself and where you can be touched by the nature and you can meet nice people and travel to many different places.

In this article I want to invite you to discover my country and telling you all the things and places that you can find in Peru, after you visit Peru you will never be the same person.

If you never know Peru I will give you some reference of where my beautiful country is located and how many things you will find in Peru as the national brand of my country says if you are looking for something this thing is in Peru, and in my opinion there is no doubt.

Ok let’s start first with how many world heritage site by the Unesco until know Peru has, are you ready? Open your eyes to this great itinerary of mysticism and variety that my Andean country has:

Location of Peru

My country is located in South America and in its borders you can find other countries like Ecuador, Colombia, Brasil, Bolivia and Chile. We are now more than 30 million of Peruvians living in Peru and the biggest city in my country is Lima considered the “City of the kings” during the Spanish colonial time thanks for the monuments that Lima has, in the 90 decades the center of Lima was declared one of the World Heritage site by the Unesco.

In the Peru you can find different weather we do not only have cost, Andes and the jungle ¡No! We have a lot of climates but we suppose to think that Peru has only 03 climates but this is not true, when you come to Peru you will see with your own eyes the different ecologic nature that Peruvians has.

First I want to start with the most important attraction in Peru that every of you have to know before die! Do you know what place I telling you? Well, this place is MachuPicchu

Machupicchu the lost city of the incas

The is no doubt the machupicchu is by far one of the most breathtaking places in the World, MachuPicchu was discovered by one American called Hirang Bingham in the first yeart of the last century, and know Machupicchu is the most visited place in Peru, every year people wants to come to Peru to see Macchupicchu and take the different access to go there like for example the wonderful and amazing Inka Trail, but there is not the only way to arrive to Macchupicchu if you want to do the traditional itinerary you can take a train to Aguas Calientes and then take a bus to go the sanctuary, and believe me when you see Macchupicchu you will do not have words to express all the things that makes you feel is a place that I see every time without getting me bored because Machupicchu is as you can understand is authentic and unique in the World.

As you can already see, I really love my country with all my heart and I could say that MachuPicchu could be of course your main reason to come to Peru, ok you should visit it! But we have more places to enjoy, feel, and food to eat and nature to walk

I could say that my first travel around Peru by myself was to Machupicchu and I went there two times and every of them I did not lose the emotion to see Machupicchu, you are welcome to visit Machupicchu and walk around the sanctuary, see also some llamas walking in the way and feel the magic of the incas’culture.

Cuzco city: Tradition of the Incas

Cuzco, oh my god this city is one of the most beautiful that I have never seen in my life, considered the Rome of South America and the capital of the culture in South America.

This city will be the best place to start your travel around the Cuzco Region and when you arrive here, you will see that Cuzco has a interesting offert of places to visit very close to the city and of course inside the City like the Koricancha that is a temple in the first floor made by the incas and then when the Spanish people arrive they did a church, but I suggest not only visit the monuments because one of the most important things that you should do it is for sure visit the market located very close to the main square of Cuzco where you can find cheap local food and of course if you want to buy some souvenirs you can enter here to buy all the things that you want, you will never forget every street of Cuzco cause is wonderful and if you want to visit Cuzco my suggestion is to be hosted close to the main square where you can find also the nightlife of the city.

Fortunately Cuzco has different offers for all kind of budgets, so if you want to stay in the luxury hotel of course you can find many of them, at the same time you can find cheapest hostels like Pariwana and some houses offers by locals, for example I found one accommodation for 10 soles only one time, well my dear friends as you can see Cuzco is located in the andes and to arrive here at the moment there is no international flights to come direct to Cuzco you should visit another place before guess which city? My love and big city of Lima

Lima city: The vibrant capital of Peru

How can I describe my city, I could say that I love my city and I can not change my capital for any other place of the world, even that we have some problems for sure, Lima is one the best places to find incredible and taste food, have you ever heard where is located the capital of the food in Latin America? Probably you heard something about ceviche, lomo saltado, aji de gallina uhmmm delicious Peruvian food that you can discover during your stay in Lima.

Lima has different periods over the time, sometimes people thing that in Lima you can only find the historic center but this is a big mistake! We have three periods of time in Lima the first is the pre-Hispanic time, the second is the colonial time and the last one is the modern time of Lima.

There is no doubt that my city is a vibrant place that you should visit and I have to tell you all the true, you will find here traffic yes! But as every big city like New York where I visited in 2008 I found a big traffic too.

My city is still trying to resolve this problem and we have already some trains services in the city but it is not enough we have only some itineraries in Lima but if you want to use the public transport my suggestion is to be carefully because in Lima you can find different kind of transportation.

Lima is a vibrant place to start your visit in Peru, as you can see I was born here in this city but my father and my mother did not and I considered my self a mixture of my country cause my father is from the Andes and my mother is from the coast in another city called Chincha, but you know what, I am not the only limeño with the example in Lima you will find many Peruvians of different parts of my country.

People can think that Lima started with the foundation of the historic center but this is big mistake, my friends, Lima was already a wonderful civilization before the Spanish people arrive here. Do you want some proves? Of course I have many of them! For example if you go Lurin Valley in Lima you will find Pachacamac one the most important sanctuary from the Peruvians and if you go to the tourist district of Miraflores you will find there the Huaca Pucllana one incredible place to visit in the middle of the modernity, and if you want more examples I can tell you more of them as Huaca Huallamarca in San Isidro district and many, a huge list that I will never to telling you.

Lima has many archeological places inside the city and I hope the in the short time, Peruvians will put in value this important places to you guys, for the future visitors and for ourselves too, because every generation has to be able to discover the past of my city and know all the things that you can appreciate in the city of the food.

The Amazon River starts in Peru!

The Amazon River is the largest river by discharge of the water in all the world and the second in length and the Amazon river starts in my country! and of course is big that the river pass also countries like Ecuador, Colombia and the biggest country in South America, Brazil!

The Amazon is a real contact with the nature where you can find unique fishes like for example paiche, have you heard about that before? Probably if you do not heart I will be happy to introduce you to this fish that nowadays is the biggest fish that you can find in the Amazon.

In the other hand you could think that in the amazon you can find only animals and flora, big mistake! My friends, here in the amazon you can thing also tribes of aborigines that are still without contact with the modernity, there are many places to start your trip in the Amazon River but my suggestions is to go to the Iquitos city and there you can find many travel agencies that you can contact to visit this part of Peru, the joungle in Peru is amazing not only for the Amazon river but also for the enthusiastic people that you can find here and for the unique food that the Peruvian jungle have.

Visit the Amazon river is believe that we can do something to change the reality to respect the nature and have special experience with the shamans that are teachers for the jungle with the medicine and religious ceremony like the Ayahuasca, something that you can only experience in Peru, some members of my family did the Ayahuasca ceremony but in my case I still think that I am not ready to fight with myself and understand this incredible experience but, who knows probably soon when I return to Peru, I will be more than happy to experience the Ayahuasca ceremony.

Another attraction of the Amazon River is that you can find here pink dolphins if you see one of them you will have a fantastic experience, there is no doubt that the amazon in Peru is a treasure of mysterious over its water.

Finally you can take a ship to see the nature and enjoy every side of this fantastic river located in Peru!

The mysterious of Nazca Lines

Located in the Ica region in the south next to Lima you can find the mysterious of the Nazca Lines, this lines was created for one Peruvian culture called Nazca in the middle of the desert and it is very huge that you can not see the figure in the land, it is necessary to take a flight over the desert of the lines to see tha magnificence of this treasure.

You can find the figures of different animals there like for example one monkey and one bird and fish that are the most famous in the Nazca Line.

Titicaca Lake the highest lake in the world!

My dear friends, now let’s go to talk about one of the most beautiful lake that you can visit in Peru, this lake is located between my country and Bolivia and in considered the highest lake in the world! Titicaca is located in more the 3800 meters it is located in the region of Puno in the side of Peru and Copacabana in the side of Bolivia, usually when you want to cross the borders between both country you have to visit this incredible lake, in titikaka we have some islands like for example Uros and Taquile both are really good experience of slow tourism in contact with the community and we the story that they can offer you visit them.

There are many things that you can visit in Peru and great cities like Ayacucho, Arequipa, the north where you can do surfing over the waves.

On the other hand, you can enjoy the contact with the different comuninities that exits in Peru and of course feel the traditional music like "Festejo" "Marinera" "Huayno" and many others too.
