Why did you choose to go to Pau, France?

I didn't choose Pau, my job in Paris fell through last minute and Pau was the only place with places left.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

6 months and £1000

What is the student lifestyle like in Pau?

It's fun, students nights are quite cheap and there are a few clubs. Not many things to do in the day and travel is difficult

Would you recommend the city and the University of Pau to other students?

Yes, but not if you're looking for a busy city, I come from London and it's a bit quiet for me. But I've had a good time

What is the food like?

Pretty normal, hummus is difficult to find but there's a lot of sushi ! The supermarket food is more expensive than England

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Pau?

I chose Pau very late and signed up to all sorts of websites I had to pay for- then found somewhere through Facebook

How much does it cost to live in Pau?

I share an apartment with 2 others and it's €300 a month including bills

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

If you study at the university you have to do an intensive French course. It really depends how much you knew before you came

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Pau from your city?

Flights to Biarritz are much cheaper than flights to Pau or Lourdes, worth knowing

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Pau?

Durango or Casino, depends on your music place. There's also a Cuban bar which is great for dancing

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Pau?

Terrible Indian food, amazing sushi !

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The castle gardens are pretty

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Pau in the future?

Mind your money ! France is expensive, check when things are open especially on weekends, i always walked to the supermarket and it was closed.
