Arc de Triomphe - Loving shots

• Why is Arc de Triomphe so attractive to me?

It must be said that before coming to Paris I was lulled by panoramic city shots from the Arc de Triomphe.

I really admired the magnificent Paris master-planned from hundreds of years to now still retained its full value. Standing here, I can zoom out of the Eiffel Tower from the far distance, all the way down to a cliff and watch the panorama of Paris when night falls enchanted.

I crossed the Champs Elysees to reach the Arc de Triomphe early on. This time around 6pm, I was told early because I wanted to stay here until it was dark a little and the lights of Paris light up, and the weather in Europe was often late at night until 10pm.

• There are two Arc de Triomphe in Paris

In fact, in Paris there are two Arc de Triomphe: the Arc de Triomphe is located in the Place Étoile and another Carrousel Arc de Triomphe that you will see when entering the Louvre Museum, that one is smaller. The Arc de Triomphe is more well-known because it is an important intersection of Paris and is often used to hold major events.

The origin of the Arc de Triomphe is a work built by Napoleon to honor the army, so you will easily see the sculptures of the warriors, statues, reliefs and engravings of the heroes for the unknown death soldiers in World War I.

The work was designed by the architect Jean-Francois Chalgrin following the victory over the ancient city of Rome. The inside of the four legs of the Arc de Triomphe is decorated with reliefs depicting famous battles. Six reliefs, four above the monuments and two at the sides describe the stages and events of the French Revolution and Empire. In addition, the surface of Triumphal arch has other small reliefs. I actually find it funny when the soldiers in the army are carved without pants.

The construction was impeded when Emperor Napoleon I no longer ruled France in 1814, but was later completed. Anyway, I'm so lucky that I can visit this great place!

• The Arc de Triomphe is home to the sad and glorious times of France.

I can take for example in the second world war such as when France lost the battle in 1871 and 1940. It also remembered the image of a French cried when the Nazi army crossed this place.

I mean it was a humorous event for the French. However, after four years, the Liberation Army of Paris marched again through this reputation site after they have fight back the Nazi Army.

Meaning: "This place rests for French soldiers who have died for the country. " Since 1923, a fire was lit on the anonymous soldiers' grave every evening.

• How to go to the Arc de Triomphe

It's not too difficult to get here, so if you walk, head straight down the Arc de Triomphe Avenue to the west to the Charles de Gaulle Square, which is a bit long, also big and famous boulevard such as La Rambla in Barcelona but the Champs Elysees has a large highway for medium transport while in Barcelona it is only for pedestrians.

If there are many Metro options, you can go to Metro lines 1, 2 and 6 or TER line A to the terminal point Kléber, George V or Argentine, take bus 22, 30, 31, 52, 73 or 92.

Business hours:

From 1/4 to 30/9: 10 a. m. -11 p. m.

From 1/10 to 31/3: 10 a. m. -10: 30 p. m.

The admission is 9. 5E, but it looks like the price has risen because it was only at 7E, perhaps because of the devaluation of the euro against the dollar that the city government decided to increase ticket price for the this Paris attraction.

• Free entrance for Student.

However, for me, I had my student card with me. So I can get a free ticket :v. I got a ticket quite fast and did not have to line up like the Louvre or the Eiffel Tower, the number of tourists is not too crowded.

After getting tickets, I start to go inside, there will be no elevator to go up but climbing the stairs, but the stairs also just for one person only go in a spiral pattern.

• The Face of Napoleon

The first thing I have seen is the face of Napoleon :v :v :v

He was the founder of the Bonaparte dynasty and became the French Emperor from 1804 to 1815 under the name Napoleon I. More specifically, he went down in history as one of the most talented generals in the world.

At present, Napoleon's tactics and campaigns are studied at all military academies around the world.

Up to the floor adjacent to the top is a gallery of historical objects such as the military uniform of the old French soldier, and also souvenirs shop of this historical site.

I do not spend too much time here because I am inherently very historical, I have already read a lot about this stuff.

• Hundreds of Arc de Triomphe around the world

Then, I went to a room showing about the Arc de Triomphe around the world

Arc de Triomphe is a kind of gate-shaped memorial structure, usually built on the street or square. The simplest form of the Triumphal Arch consists of two large pillars supporting one torch.

There are hundreds of triumphs in the world, even I even found one in Vietnam.

• Arc de Triomphe in Vietnam - not open for vistors.

Hien Nhon Gate is located in the East of the Imperial Citadel, on Doan Thi Diem Street, in Hue City. This door was built in 1805, under King Gia Long. By the time of Minh Mang, in 1833, the door was processed decorative pieces of porcelain. By the time of Khai Dinh was restored again once again.

Hien Nhon door is the door reserved for mandarins and men entering the Imperial Citadel.

Currently this gate is only for staff of Hue Imperial Conservation Center, not open for visitors in this way, except for festive days when many visitors visit.

In addition, this gate is also used to welcome the troops back, probably for that reason it is considered a triumphal arch.

I am unfortunately not currently able to visit it.

• Great view from the top

10 minutes 'wide look is that I go to the upper balcony always. Oa, walking out the door, felt the wind blowing in the wind. Above here look so wide, the way up is arranged in the middle and around a space wide square, high barrier to ensure everyone is safe. Not only that, there are always two guard around to keep watch.

My photographs are taken from the Arc de Triomphe, from here you can see the Eiffel Tower, the modern La Defense area and all the way to the same term. Of course, the highlight is still a Paris with great planning, no one can deny its beautiful.

I stand here long enough to wait for the sunset, which is the best time for pictures of Paris from the Revelation.

• My tripod is not welcome here

One thing to note to photographers is that the tripod will not be allowed here, including the Triumphal arch area and the top. Protectors will remind you even though they did not check your baggage up there. To me this is very disappointing because I really need a tripod for the photos when it's dark, so I just wait for the guard not to notice I pulled out some plates and then hide it. But they asked so many times, so finally I had to put on the ground to take pictures.

• Some experience for anyone visiting the Arc de Triomphe - Arc de Triomphe:

The best time to visit the Arc de Triomphe is afternoons, at sunset. You can not watch the Eiffel Tower while standing on top of the tower, but you can do it when you stand at the top of Arc de Triomphe. Stand here have many corners to take panoramic Paris rather than standing on the Eiffel Tower. Remember to bring your jacket because the wind here is quite cold.

If you arrive early, you can take a walk on the Champs Elysees before heading to the memorial, remember to walk underground, but do not cross the street like me. I had a blush and hunched-out dare to cross the car's nook, and the driver's throaty thighs broke out in the face.

• You can go shopping but the price is...

There are many shopping places in the Champs Elysees as well as restaurants, eateries and fashion shops near Arc de Triomphe. Of course the price here is unacceptable.

If anyone does not want to lose money to the top of the tour can stand below, watching the Arc de Triomphe, or hovering around the square is also great. Anyway, I find the fare is also more reasonable than many other attractions in Paris already.
