Near the sea lies Castellammare, an old castle with defensive structures; on the site, there are also remains of a mosque and a Muslim cemetery.

Palazzo Patella was simple, yet important as another Norman residence.

After that, we saw the great ruins of Santa Maria dello Spasimo which reminded me of something majestic as in The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. I can well imagine that these videogames took inspiration from ancient/medieval/Renaissance sites.
