On top of this, it shares the status of the best university mensa with Collegio Murialdo, despite it being slightly out of the way; students can't resist hopping on their bikes or a bus to have their lunch here when their timetables permit.

For only €3. 50 or €4. 50 – depending on whether you choose the half menu or full – a student can finish their lunch feeling satiated. Then, if the weather allows, the outdoor seating area is the ideal place to relax or play cards before getting back to studying.

For those who don’t have the fortune of being a student, don’t worry: this restaurant is the ideal place for welcoming families, groups of friends, and work colleagues. The area reserved for the restaurant, which is separate from that reserved for mensa, is very spacious and modern, and also contains a glass-walled play area so parents can keep an eye on their children. In the summer you can also eat outside in the garden. Booking in advance is advised, but not strictly necessary: I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a table.

The menu offers a wide variety of excellent pizzas, but also high-quality first and second courses, and it’s definitely worth saving space for dessert! The desserts are artisanally-produced by Pasticceria del Carcere di Padova, which in recent years has won various prizes and gained visibility thanks to its ingenious initiatives; for example, attaching cupcake cases to letterboxes inviting people to pick up a free pastry.

The service at Forcellini 172 is very friendly and efficient. You can also organise all kinds of events here: from birthday parties to graduation parties, from corporate events to receptions. And most importantly: the prices are really reasonable.
