OXFORD: G&D'S ICE CREAM

It's summer! So of course, duh! You gotta eat Oxford's Own G&D's Ice Cream at every opportunity you get!

This is the G&D at St Aldate's, just opposite the Christchurch College (which I talked about in the previous post) entrance across the street. There are other G&D's cafes all over Oxford, but this one at St Aldate's is my favourite, because it often has my favourite ice cream flavour: salted caramel. Hmmm yum.

The flavours change daily and according to what the particular cafe offers. Apparently their ice cream is homemade, and they serve sorbets too (see the bright red raspberry sorbet in the picture). Other must-try flavours: Salted Caramel, Daims Bar Crunch, Oxford Blue, Radcliffe Squares.

One scoop costs about 2. 40 GBP, two scoops 3. 80 GBP. But if you upgrade your two scoops for an extra 1. 40 GBP, you get a BANANA SUNDAE, MY ONE TRUE LOVE:

Some G&D's are called George&Danver's, while some are called George&Delilah's. I don't know who the hell George is, but all I can say is that he makes really good ice cream.
