Crazy, astonishing but always demanding.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Oulu to other students?

Of course yes.

What is the food like?

Food is the worst among all things we can imagine during our stay. There is unfortunately nothing interesting in it.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Oulu?

No, I was given a dormitory appartment close to university.

How much does it cost to live in Oulu?

Always depends on the personality. 500 euros/month was a sufficient amount for me.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, finnish language is difficult to learn, but there was no problems with communication.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Oulu from your city?

Only by flight.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Oulu?

Onnela is OK, Karle was awfull for me.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Oulu?

Unfortunately, I can't.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Oulu is rather an economical and industry city, so there is hardly nothing to see cultural. Going north to Lapland is the best option to see more winter finland with deeper culture in there.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Oulu in the future?

Go there for a winter semester.
