Why did you choose to go to Oulu, Finland?

Because I like the Nordic countries and the idea of a university internship pleased me enormously.

How long does your trip last? How much aid do you receive?

My trip lasts 3 months.

How is student life at Oulu?

At this instant, I don't really know as I have only just arrived. However, the people here are very nice.

Would you recommend the city and the university of Oulu to other students?

Yes of course! We mustn’t be afraid of the unknown.

How is the country's food?

Good. There is an enormous amount of choice at the university - around twenty different kinds of bread and a grill, which proposes some good dishes, cooked for a very reasonable price. For example at midday, I ate a hamburger with smoked salmon, accompanied by a cucumber sauce and some chips.

Did you have any difficulties finding accommodation in Oulu?

No.

How much does it cost to live in Oulu?

It's expensive I have to warn you.

How is learning the language? Have you been to any languages courses organised by the university?

No. As far as English is concerned, I already didn't have any problems with this language (in leaving France). The Finnish accent is maybe hard to understand at first but you get used to it quickly.
