What is it like to live in Ostrava? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
City is small, architecture is so so, not very interesting. But you can find everything you need here and with good people it's really good life here. It's also inexpensive.

It's pretty cheap comparing to other countries.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Ostrava? Is there any advice you can give?
On several websites you can find place to stay, I don't think it's difficult.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
I am Czech and I love Czech food so I really enjoy it here.
What places would you recommend visiting in Ostrava?
Vítkovice, nová radnice, Husův sad, promenade among riverside. Avion shopping Park.
Is it good to eat out in Ostrava? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
I don't have favorite spots but you can find good restaurants and also some stalls with kebab etc which is not expensive and it is fast meal.
Is the nightlife good in Ostrava? Where is good to go?
Stodolní - best street for partying.
What advice would you give future students heading to Ostrava?
If you live far from Czech Republic, prepare yourself for cultural shock. Ostrava is not capital and it's much smaller than Prague. Also people are different. Don't expect much and you will be surprised positively :)
