Tomma
I have checked on internet some information about that island and, as I could have imagined, it is a small population located near the port. The rest of the island is about nature.
Its highest mountain is called "Tomskjevelen" and it is 922 metres high. There are some paths for taking a long or short walk around the island.
As I have mentioned many times before, for me Norway is all about nature. Nesna is exactly the same and I spend some time almost everyday walking up its mountains, because of the nice view you have from them.
I also love the calm inside the forest. There are not much people (as probably you had imagine) I walk up there, so I can spend that time by my own, just me and nature, us.
Tomma is always there. Wherever I look I can see that island.
I have checked a map and I have realized that there is no path to the top of the highest mountain (as I first wanted to), and it could be hard going there by myself with all that snow.
But I found out that there is a path that runs between both mountains. I have also asked for information about the ferry's timetable and I have them.
So, sooner or later but before leaving, I am going for a trip to Tomma. I wish there is going to be at least one not-cloudy day before then.
I am also waiting to see the polar lights! I wonder if it is waiting for me to leave Norway, because it wants me to come back to see it...
