North Cape Adventure

The story of our beautiful one day roadtrip to the North Cape during wintertime. Accompanied by my Norwegian friends, we head to the North Cape with their dog. 

November 11

What a day, 6:30, alarm goes off, roadtrip time. Dog in the back, there we go, into the darkness. During the ride the sun comes up and the most beautiful colors appear on the sky. Breathtaking! Snow blows over the road, while we are the only car driving. The sun rises and wow, so great to see it again, feel the warmth, see it shine so bright. Soon we won't see it anymore, probably within two weeks already. When I open the window to take a picture and close it again, the window has started to freeze. I have never experienced that before. Arrived at North Cape after a long journey, a surprise awaits us. We are the only ones! Dog out of the car, adventure time. Amazing, the peace and the beautiful sky. It's -2 degrees and the wind is strong. Didn't dress properly, but it was worth it. Before we leave the sun starts to set, 12:51. Around 15:00 it is already dark. Stars start to appear and soon the northern lights as well. What a day!
