Why did you choose to go to Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK?

To learn English... but the accent in this part of the UK is very strange.

How long did you stay there? How much funding did you receive?

I stayed for two months and received 800 euros..

What is student life like in Newcastle Upon Tyne?

Pretty good.

Would you recommend the city and university of Newcastle Upon Tyne to other students?

The city is great, but there are other cities nearby, like Durham, that are more interesting!

What is the food like?

It's not awful... apart from the English breakfast!

Was it difficult to find accommodation?

No, the thing I found difficult to understand was how utilities work, especially with Scottish Power.

What is the cost of living like?

Well it's not London, but life is still expensive! The same prices as in France but not with euros.

What is the cheapest way of getting to Newcastle from where you live?

Ferry then car.

Where do you recommend going out in Newcastle Upon Tyne?

Numéro 28 - the music is great, it's in a good location and free entry!

And for food? Where are your favourite places?

The Botanist.

What about cultural visits?

Durham Cathedral.

Any advice for future students in Newcastle Upon Tyne?

Good luck with the 'geordie' accent and try to save up a bit of money before you arrive!
