Grand Central is the main train station in Manhattan.
It is huge and is in a very beautiful old building. You can leave from here to any nearby city, I do not know if you can travel to the entire country through the means of this station, but taking into account the extent of the USA - I am not sure if this is possible.. I suppose it can, but it will take a lot of hours by train.
