Nador, Morocco

Nador is a Moroccan city located in the north of the country, 137 km from Oujda and 344 km from Tetouan. This city, built between the Mediterranean Ocean and the Rif mountain range, is like a big shopping centre in the north of the country. Most of the merchandise sold here comes from Spain.

Life in Nador:

The inhabitants of this city are modest and kind. Their most used language is Berber, but nowadays they also speak Arabic, French and Spanish. Like the rest of Morocco, most of them are merchants or fishermen. This city has several Souqs (Arab markets) which are known in Morocco for the quality of the products and their exceptional price.

Transport:

To go to Nador you have to take a big taxi or bus from Oujda. It will cost you about 6 euros. Inside the city you can use buses or small taxis to go to the town centre or to the Souqs and shopping centres.

Accommodation:

The price of hotels in Nador varies between 20 and 70 euros per person per night, and you can also find people who rent their apartments where the price can be less than 25 euros per night. My friends and I slept in our tents on Charrana beach for one week. You can put your tents up for free there because it is a wild beach and far from the city.

Nature in Nador:

Nador has paradise beaches, especially because they are not frequented much by Moroccan or foreign tourists. Here are a few examples of these beaches:

Plage Charrana

Plage Boqueronesa

Plage de Keriat Arekmane
