Montreal, Canada

One of the most beautiful cities in the world! We're used to not hearing much about Canada, but it definitely has some amazing places.

I myself was in Montreal, a wonderful city with really welcoming people. I spent a month there studying French.

Montreal has a long list of outdoor activities available, from sports and festivals to the International Fireworks Competition and Formula 1 race.

One of the things which attracted me to Montreal the most was the Formula 1 circuit Fills Villeneuve, near to the casino. When there are no races taking place on the circuit, it's available for other uses, such as skating, biking and running.

The Just for Laughs comedy festival which lasts for a week is really incredible. The streets of Montreal fills with acrobats, jugglers, comedians and mini plays.

La Ronde theme park is quite big and has rides for children, water rides and all kinds more. There are also shows and performances there. The entrance fee isn't expensive, but you can make it even cheaper by making a group of at least ten people: at the entrance to the park, people who don't actually know each other pay for tickets together to save money!

The International Fireworks Competition, which also lasts for several days, is brilliant. All the fireworks are reflected in the water below and the visual effect is marvellous.

There is a water park nearby in the mountains with lots of fun slides. In the wintertime, it becomes a ski resort.

The metro is easy to use and will take you everywhere in Montreal, and the metro map is really easy to make sense of.

The city offer lots of leisure activities: go-karting, bowling, boat parties, motorboat rides... you'll always find thousands of things to do and see.

Montreal is also near to Quebec and Ottawa, which are also two very beautiful cities. You can travel to them by bus, and the journey is made more pleasant by the fact that the roads seem to be in very good condition and barely have any twists and turns - they're all straight! The buses are the typical American ones you see in The Simpsons.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me!
