Why did you choose to go to Mons, Bélgica?

Good university with faculty of pharmacy (my speciality). I had a little French, so I can tolerate with people, and also it is a historic city.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

6 months. The problem is that it is not allowed for you rent in Mons less than one year, so i rented a room in Grande Triperie host of university, but it is relatively more expensive.

What is the student lifestyle like in Mons?

There are a lot of activities of different nationalities.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Mons to other students?

For pharmacy and to live and have experience, the answer is yes.

What is the food like?

I am muslim, so it is obligatory for me to eat halal food (there are a lot of muslims, so there is no problem finding halal meat of chicken, beaf or others)

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Mons?

It is only about 35 euros for me and my family.

How much does it cost to live in Mons?

400 euros per month for 2 persons for food

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes my French language got better when i came here upon relations with people and also took a french courses in the university.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Mons from your city?

From egypt to brussels by plane, then by train to mons.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Mons?

After i finished my work, i go to home to have relaxation.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Mons?

Mcdonald's, a lot of restaurants at grande place known for their classical belgian food.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

A lot of churches.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Mons in the future?

You must take french courses before you think to come Mons and also for renting a studio or such like that.
