What is it like to live in Monrovia? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Monrovia, like many others developing countries Capitol, is not that beautiful like the European or Western countries Capitol and cities . Despite this, Monrovia has some nice places to visit and have good time... Like the beaches ( Gbesay, Miami and many other). There are also lot of tourist places to visit. I my opinion, it will be a great idea if anyone wish to live in Monrovia!

The lifestyle of Students in Monrovia is very welcoming.

How much does it cost to live in Monrovia?

From my personal experience and analysis, the cost of living in Monrovia on a Monthly basis range between $70_$159 US( depending on how you plan your budget). For me, my monthly budget is around $50_$70.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Monrovia? Is there any advice you can give?

Finding accommodation is not hard in Monrovia. This is so because there several modern hotels in the city for reasonable prices. But if you are a student, I will recommend that you Lodge into an apartment. Most apartments have running water, 24/7 electricity, and all order necessities. Apartments of such prices range from $50US_$100 US.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The main food here are rice, pounded Cassava served with several soup. These two are my favorite! There are also some restaurants here that serve European and Western food.

What places would you recommend visiting in Monrovia?

Places that I would recommend visiting are:
The various beaches, the Capitol Hill, entertainment centers, historical sites etc.

Is it good to eat out in Monrovia? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Though it is not good or safe to eat in any all places here in Monrovia, there are lot of places that are nice and safe .
My favorite spot is at the Forestry Development Authority ( FDA) Junction.

Is the nightlife good in Monrovia? Where is good to go?

I can't say that the nightlife is good or bad, but there are several places that are great to visit during the night. Such places are the best entertainment centers and movie theaters .

What advice would you give future students heading to Monrovia?

My advice to future Students heading to Monrovia is that, it is the best place to acquire quality education in the entire republic. If you're planning on moving here to study, you should be prepared to adapt to changes in order to prosper.
