What is it like to live in Milan? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I wouldn't Live in Milano , I would go spend Christmas or just for a short vacation. Milan is bit 'grey' as i might call it. I guess maybe because Italians Have different lifestyle than mine. For example it was only 8 and the streets were so quiet,It was like I'm the only one who's walking.Actually even in the morning it's so quiet except Buenos Aires Street, It was the busiest street in Milan lots of stores and everyone had the shopping spirit, I witnessed several of the best-dressed people I have seen since a while.

What is the student lifestyle like in Milan?

I don't know much about student lifestyle in Milan ,I was only there as a tourist

How much does it cost to live in Milan?

Milan is pretty expensive to live in,For a single room and furnished house without many luxuries, you will pay around 300 Euros so you'd make it through the month with 500 euros.There's a 17euros monthly ticket for means of transport inside Milan. I recommend you go for grocery shopping at lidl as Carrefour is a bit expensive,

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Milan? Is there any advice you can give?

The only advice I can give you about this is that if you're going to Milan in Christmas I recommend you book at a hotel quite some time before you travel,In Christmas Milan is very Busy, tourists from other areas In Italy go to Milan too.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Nothing can be better than food and shopping in Italy!. And of course my favourite dishes were pizza and Pasta !!

What places would you recommend visiting in Milan?

Don't miss out and visit Il Duomo and Teatro alla Scala!

Is it good to eat out in Milan? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

I recommend you visit La Rinascente in Piazza Duomo, check out the restaurant called 'Maio' it offers a variety of interesting dishes ,My favourite was 'PIZZA MARGHERITA' its so common but I just love pizza! and I just wanted to enjoy the best thing about 'Maio' which was the roof terrace, which has an impressive view of the Duomo

Is the nightlife good in Milan? Where is good to go?

Most of Milan congregates at 3 spots in the night...in front of the Duomo, Colonne di San Lorenzo, and Navigli...you can sit there with your friends and spend time for hours. I also heard of Alcatraz,one of the most famous night clubs in Milan,Next time I visit Milan its will be on the top of my list !

What advice would you give future students heading to Milan?

Just Have fun! Enjoy the moments and keep memories everywhere you go, Take pictures of even the smallest thing that you think might me nothing to you but in the future they actually will! And finally don't forget to make friends !
