St Catherine's Park is a vast park in Lucan (between Dublin and Maynooth). Like the rest of Ireland, it's very green ...

St Catherine's Park

An entrance sign greets you in Gaelic and English and invites you to explore the park and meet the fairies.

The straight roads that lead into the park are leading you on into the mystery. Plus you will probably find lots of wild garlic besides the road!

St Catherine's Park

Congratulations, you found the wishing seat. Sit down, close your eyes and make a wish ... the fairies will do their best to grant it ;)

St Catherine's Park

Meanwhile, a herd of wild cows will stare at you with their typical bored gaze: "Oh, another human ... great ..." and continue munching grass and relaxing in the sun. Dolce vita! (Wait, my posts on Italy will come later ...)

St Catherine's Park

You can enjoy a wide view of nature, both a grass lawn and a field full of wild flowers, neatly separated by a fence ... well done, culture and nature!
