Managua is hot, but if you like the sun, you can stay in shorts and sandals all the time, you have lakes and volcanoes in the same city, as well as lots of places to visit and share with others.

It's a good lifestyle. The public universities are good and the private ones are very expensive... but the student life is good.

How much does it cost to live in Managua?

It depends on where your accommodation is, it can cost from $300 to $500 a month. Food, transport and clothing is relatively cheap.

No, but it's good to start looking in advance on the internet.

It's delicious, varied and finger lickin' good! Vigoron, rondón (a caribbean dish) and the different kinds of fruits.

Leon, Granada, San juan del sur, Ometepe island, the Ocotal grand canyon

There's a lot of variety here. Cocina de Doña Haydée, grilled food, they only have traditional food here.

Get here early to give yourself enough time to find accommodation in a quiet area with access to restaurants and places for going out.
