Brief introduction and answer to the "Golden question"

Hello everyone!

First of all I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Ignacio and I come from Spain. I'm 21 years old and I'm currently doing my third year of Business Management "abroad of abroad", by this I mean I had already been out of my original country for two whole years, studying in Abertay University, Scotland; before I was given the opportunity to come to SEGi University in Kota Damansara, Malaysia.

I know I am joining this blogging competition a bit too late but I have a lot to share about these 6 months that I have been here and my experiences so far, and would love every reader to enjoy what I'm going to be sharing until the end.

On this first entry I want to answer to the question I've been asked over and over, not only in Scotland, but also here in Malaysia: Why would you want to come here?  Well, it all started after studying Law in Spain for one year and hating it all so much, that I wanted a radical change, a whole different experience. I actually knew business was my thing instead of law but I thought it was a very common thing and something many people would choose to do. So I set my sights on UK to differentiate myself from other people who would rather study in their home country, then I chose Scotland as it is free education for European citizens thanks to SAAS (Student Awards Agency Scotland), and managed to join Abertay University.

During my second year in Scotland I was introduced to the different options I could be choosing for an exchange programme, and they all sounded amazing, but as soon as I heard Malaysia was in the options, I thought no more as I had it very clear that it would be the most rewarding and special experience of all the options available.

Being honest, I couldn't be happier than I am right now for making all those decisions, and I know I'll be terribly sad when the time to leave comes; but there's still time. Until then, I'll be enjoying to the fullest.

Make sure to stay up to date as I take you through my previous and present experiences in Malaysia. I'll try my best to give you a good insight of what it is like and to entertain you. You can also feel free to follow me on instagram to check my latest pictures: Iggy.navarro
