Experience in Málaga, Spain by Cristian
What is it like to live in Malaga? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
It is a fairly cheap city, and it offers (almost) anything you can think of. The best thing about Malaga is its airport, which offers cheap flights to other cities of the country, as well as Europe.
What is the student lifestyle like in Malaga?
Not bad at all either. Due to the nice weather, the city is always really crowded and there are a lot of foreign students.
How much does it cost to live in Malaga?
I can't really tell, since it depends on your own lifestyle and the amount of money you have/want to spend. But there is always something affordable for anyone.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Malaga? Is there any advice you can give?
As far as I know, it is not that difficult to find a place to stay in the city. There are a lot of rooms in shared flats that are available, specially in the city centre and the surrounding areas of the university.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Spain is well-known because of its dishes.
What places would you recommend visiting in Malaga?
The cathedral is worth a visit, the museums, the castle, the "alcazaba"...
Is it good to eat out in Malaga? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Pizzeria Carlos if you are looking for a nice pizza, but in the city centre, there is a wide variety of restaurants.
Is the nightlife good in Malaga? Where is good to go?
It depends on your music taste. I do not know many places in the city centre.
What advice would you give future students heading to Malaga?
Just enjoy the city and the weather and do not be very sad at the end of your stay, you will be back again.
