Good study program, language, location.

What is the student lifestyle like in Malaga?

Lifestyle of a student depends on the faculty but you'll surely learn and improve your Spanish skills greatly and have lots of fun doing it too.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Malaga to other students?

Absolutely. It was one of the best experiences in my life and introduces you to different kind of lifestyle, culture and way of learning.

What is the food like?

The food is great and there's always something new to try. People enjoy having snacks (tapas), cooking and sharing their knowledge.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Malaga?

No.

How much does it cost to live in Malaga?

It costs a bit more when you come: bus ticket, some books, clubs and new restaurants, rent and deposits. Later you just know where to go shopping, where to eat, drink or just how do you prefer to spend your time, you start choosing so it is not so expensive later. In general, its not expensive in Malaga.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available in the University?

You just talk in Spanish all the time and after some time you just forget and do not notice how your language skills improve. But, yes, the courses are helpful.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Malaga from your city?

Well, I was travelling by plane but it is advisable to buy the tickets as early as possible to spend less money, because it is not cheep to travel from Lithuania to Malaga.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Malaga?

To have a walk in port, to visit the fish restaurants in the beach, visit salsa clubs where they teach you to dance, try local tapas.

You can also choose between lots and lots of various different clubs to party in.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Malaga?

Pepa y Pepe, El Beato, taperias in the beach.

You can also visit provinces of Malaga where you can go by bus. Those little pueblecitos can offer you not only wonderful views, beaches but also great sea food.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Alcazaba, city center, Picasso museum.

Is there any other advice that you could give to future students who are going to Malaga?

Guard your belongings and don't go nuts that much to forget about your safety.
