Why did you choose to go to Madrid, Spain?
To learn the language and because it´s a very large city.
How long did your scholarship last? How much were you paid?
9 months, and I received 230 euros per month.
What´s the student life like in Madrid?
Everything was very well-organized and there are lots of activities to get involved in.
Would you recommend the city and University of Madrid to other students?
Yes, definitely!
What´s the food like in Madrid?
I prefer Italian food myself. There aren´t that many dishes I liked, but the ham is the best in the world!
Did you find it hard to find somewhere to live in Madrid?
Yep.
How expensive is everyday life in Madrid?
I spent 500 euros per month on food, accommodation, free time activities and transport.
How are you finding the language? Have you signed up to a language course at the university?
No, but I´m finding it quite easy.
What´s the cheapest way of getting to Madrid from your home city?
By plane.
What about eating out in Madrid? What are your favourite places?
100 montaditos and Museo del Jamón.
What does Madrid have to offer in terms of culture?
Museums and the Parque del Retiro.
