Madrid, Spain
We spent only one day in the capital of Spain, we didn't have enough time to visit it all. We decided to visit only the main monuments.
The most important thing here is that the historical monuments are close to each others.
Life in Madrid :
As you can guess, many tourists visit this amazing city, this is a reason why she is always overcrowded. Thereby, if you don't want to lose time buying the visit tickets of historical monument i advise you to buy it on the internet.
Madrid is different from the other typical Spanish cities, its architecture is a mix between the history of Spain and European modernity where you can see people dancing flamingo wearing traditional clothes which are exceptionally beautiful.
Madrid never sleeps and people love to go out at night to party. You will find many clubs, cafes, bars and restaurants.
Night clubs usually open after 11 pm.
Food and drinks
The gastronomy of Madrid is a bit different from other regions of Spain. In the restaurants you will find dishes which are a combination of traditional Spanish gastronomy and ingredients from all over the world.
As traditional dishes and drinks i can tell you some:
Bacalao, al horno, Callo, Cocido madrileno and traditional beer (San Miguel)
Transports network
The most efficient and fastest means of transport of this city is the subway but if you have enough time i suggest you not to take any mean of transport and walk to see closer all the beautiful historical monuments of Madrid.
Places I have visited
Almudena
Plaza Mayor de Madrid
Puerta del Sol
Debod's Temple
Metropolis
Madrid owns a lot of parks as well where you can breathe and enjoy the shade of the trees or tan next to the river during hot summer.
